About Get Milking NZ…

“It made me realise what it is that I’m missing, and that is being on a farm, whether it be cows, sheep, or horses, but I do know one thing I need to find employment in that field and I’ll be as happy as a clam.”

“I actually think that this course will benefit everyone who is passionate about Dairy farming and working with animals. It gives them a chance to build a career long term and is good money to earn in long run. I enjoyed knowing from start to finish how milk is made and how to manage production of milk, also knowledge around how cows live and what they need to produce milk. I really enjoyed this course and cannot wait to start this new found career choice. I recommend this to all.”

“Yeah I feel great I was able to complete this course. You know I have been searching all about dairy farming.  As of the moment, honestly I am still hungry for this course and I want more. I want to learn further and if given a chance I want in-person training, I want experience this method in farming by performing in my hands.  So , probably it’s very challenging and worthy. Currently, I am here in New Zealand in another field of work. My goal is to train in dairy farming, gain certificate and transition in this job someday. Hopefully you can help me out in this journey.”

“I wanted to express my appreciation for the Dairy Taster Course, which provided valuable insights into various roles within the dairy farming industry. I found the course to be highly informative and would recommend it to anyone, like myself, who is considering a new career in dairy farming without prior experience on a farm.”

Nick

“I just want to say thank you. The online courses were amazing! I’m so glad I decided to enrol, and give it ago. I was a little nervous about it, but it turned out great! I’m amazed how easy, and straightforward the online courses are. Loved how the videos explained everything about the dairy industry. It took me 2 days to complete the Dairy Taster course, and I was ready to move on to the Dairy Assistant course, and that took me 24 hours to complete I believe. I’m really pleased how everything turned out. I’ll be heading to Taupo in a couple of weeks to do some volunteering/training on Pamu farm, and I really hope I enjoy the physical job once I start training.”

Maia

“Yeah I found the course pretty informative. The website was easy to navigate and it’s given me a better insight as to what’s involved in the industry. Am beginning the Dairy Assistant Course today which I understand is a bit more comprehensive and am looking forward to it.”

Matt

“This experience was more of a refresher, as I have been an ex dairy farmer when I was younger. Would love to join back to the lifestyle and become more than an assistant relief milker. If you can help with finding a job for me that would be more appreciated.”

Jade

“I found Get Milking was pretty straight forward, it was easy to get through while also being very informational. I found using both the video and pdf was helpful as reading the information helps to remember it a bit better so having that choice was good. The length of the videos was also helpful as you can retain more by having the shorter videos than having to sit through and try to remember a longer video with more subjects.”
