About Us 

Agricademy and the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) have teamed up to ready 100’s of Kiwis for work in the dairy industry. Our mission is to provide well-trained and motivated candidates who are keen to start their careers on your farm. 

Our first jobseekers will have completed training by the end of February 

Our Job Seekers 

Our job seekers: 

  • Have spent time learning about the dairy industry and its career opportunities.
  • Are actively looking for a career that starts on a dairy farm.
  • Are progressing with Get Milking’s online Dairy Taster Course or the Dairy Assistant Course.  
  • Are eligible for support with work clothing and relocation (via MSD).

The course is designed for anyone starting work on a dairy farm. It covers tasks and activities expected of a Dairy Assistant in the first months on job. Giving new employees the knowledge before they start work is a great way to get them engaged and up to speed.

MSD Support

All jobseekers who list on our candidate board are entitled to a range of support services including work clothing and relocation expenses.  Once an employment contract is presented to a candidate MSD has a range of employee and employer support programs for the first six months on job. 

You can find out more about MSD assistance for employers here.  There is also a Flexi-Wage subsidy available to employers to help hire and train staff.
